Maria Edelmira De Lara Guinto worked with our Family in 2016-2019 and again 2021-2023. Maria has been a rock to our family and played a material role in raising our now 6 year old girl.

The reason why Maria is leaving us, is that our second infant girl has rejected her from birth. It is till today completely unexplainable to us, and has been very hard on Maria, who cared and loved our older daughter from the age of 5 weeks. If it wasn’t for this, Maria would be welcomed to stay with us for as long as she would like to.
We are both full time working parents and Maria has independently handled meal plans, groceries, school runs, cleaning, laundry, our daughter in the afternoons and when needed at bedtime, as well as send and picked up our daughter from playdates and classes. Our daughter is very fond of Maria.
Maria has at all times over the years been honest and reliable without doubt.
Cooking: We have a very long and extremely challenging list of ingredients we can’t eat and Maria has been very diligent and careful in catering to them. Maria’s cooking is good for e.g. Fillipino dishes, Chinese soups, roast chicken, and pasta. Maria can independently learn simpler recipes, and has done so for dishes like burritos, bibimbap etc, for cuisines where she is not familiar with, understandable she needs a little support initially.
Childcare: Maria has cared for our 6 years old almost all her life, and we are very grateful for this. Maria was completely able to take care of our child and keep her on our tight routine throughout the years, including being aligned with our disciplinary approaches. Maria’s sweet spot is the young toddler years ages 1-4, as Maria has a very strong sense of keeping the children safe and her approach worked particularly well at that age. We were looking forward for her to take care of our second child as well.
Cleaning, groceries, general housework:
Maria is able of independently keep the house clean, organize groceries, and managed our household money with great care and diligence.
