Vanessa is 46 years old, married, and blessed with 5 children and they are now 27, 26, 23, 21, and 16 years old. She is a High School graduate. Her husband is a tricycle driver. She still wants to work in order to support the family financially. In the Philippines, she worked as a helper for a Filipino family in a 2-storey house. She served 3 adults. The family has a canteen business. Her main job was to clean the house, wash clothes, iron, do gardening, cook, and do car washing. She resigned because she got pregnant. However, in year 2016 to 2020, she worked for them again. But this time, in the canteen as a kitchen assistant. Her job was to wash and slice the vegetables, clean the tables, wash the dishes and clean the canteen before opening and closing. Due to the pandemic, she had to stop working. In year 2023 to 2025, she was working for a Filipino family in a Bungalow house. She was serving a couple and had taken care of their baby since birth. She bathes the baby, changes clothes and diapers, and plays with the babies. She sings a lullaby to put the baby to sleep. She made milk and fed the baby, washed the milk bottles and sterilised them, and when the baby got older, she cooked food for the baby, like porridge, smashed fruits or vegetables, then solids. She also taught their baby those simple ABCs, 123s, colours and sang nursery rhymes. Like ABC songs, Twinkle-twinkle little star, bahay-kubo, and other children's Filipino songs. She cleaned the house, washed and ironed clothes, marketing and cooked. She had a chance to come to Singapore and took the opportunity to look for a job here.
